The first album by the EFFECTS, a new band led by the charismatic and popular Devin Ocampo (Faraquet, Medications, etc.), is finally ready! The EFFECTS have released 4 independent demo tapes in 2014 and 2015, which were of high quality, and have been the talk of the town among DC fans with an early ear. Devin's voice and his unique guitar phrases that only he can play. I was completely hooked just by listening to one song. The melodies are catchy and not too difficult to understand, and the rhythm section is very simple, with Devin standing out. The band's new style of DC rock sound is nothing short of brilliant, and the many highlights, including the development of the music, will surely make you numb. The fact that there is absolutely no overlap between the tape and the songs is also a sign of their attention to detail.The lineup is too perfect: J. Robbins for recording/mixing, Dan Coutant (JOSHUA) for mastering, and Bob Weston (SHELLAC) for mastering for analog.
