Composer Mario Migliardi seamlessly blends influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Luciano Berio in a tapestry of sound. Analog instruments such as acoustic guitars and percussion are masterfully blended with electronic processing in a timeless electro-acoustic alchemy that would sound much fresher today than it did in the 1970s. The phaser effect by Leslie Speaker on the Hammond organ is a nice touch throughout! The highlight is the rock song "Matalo! (Theme Song) Feat. Giano Ton" featuring the vocals of Giacomo Tosti aka Giano Ton, a 9-minute extended version that has never been recorded before, which is a delight.Gatefold jacket with artwork by Eric Adrienne Lee inspired by the film's original poster and promotional materials.
