This is a reissue of the album "One" released in 2006. Joost Leibert, a leading Dutch drummer and percussionist, and Wolfert Brederode, a brilliant pianist who has left many masterpieces on the ECM label, both sound like one instrument, weaving music as fluidly as one instrument, Pianist Wohlfeld Brederode, who has recorded numerous works for the ECM label, has released a reissue of his 2006 album "One". Drummer and composer Joost Leibert is a very popular artist in the fields of jazz, pop, improvised music, as well as contemporary classical music and dance. He is also a member of the famous Yuri Honing Trio and the crossover project Orient Express. Pianist/composer Wohlfeld Brederode leads his own trio and quintet as a bandleader.He is also the founder of the Nimbus Collective, a group that combines music, dance, and video, and has performed with Swiss singer Suzanne Abbühl for many years, debuting on ECM in 2007. Most recently, in 2022, he released another work on ECM in collaboration with Joost Leibert and the Matangi String Quartet. This album expresses the "resonance" that the two have developed over the years as a duo, and vividly reflects what they have learned from playing together in the band Batik, in the Yuri Horning Quartet, and in various projects with dancers and actors. Both musicians say that this album will teach them a lot about how they want to make music, about the possibilities and unknowns of music. They combine their own instruments to create sounds as if they were "one" instrument.
