This 2CD deluxe edition includes the latest remastering of the original album and a number of rare recordings on 2 CDs! Robert Hunter, Grateful Dead lyricist and author of many classic songs, joined the Dead in 1967 and wrote many lyrics for the band until the Dead broke up, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Grateful Dead in 1994, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame with Jerry Garcia in 2015. Garcia, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame along with Jerry Garcia, the legendary lyricist. But his talents are not limited to songwriting, as he has also brought his very exceptional artistry to music. Now, in honor of Robert Hunter's work as a solo artist, his 1974 solo debut album, TALES OF THE GREAT RUM RUNNERS, is available here in a deluxe edition.This work is also positioned as the first in a career-summarizing archival series that explores the art of Robert Hunter, who is not only the Dead's principal lyricist.
