The Grateful Dead, the longest-running and most bizarre adventure in American music history. For more than half a century, they have been sending a message of freedom, love, and peace, and are the world's most beloved musical ambassadors of the psychedelic era, no longer "just one band" but a "cultural movement" with such an overwhelming and unique presence that they are still talked about today. The Grateful Dead, who recently broke the record for the most Top 40 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, have released their first official greatest hits compilation album, "GRATEST HITS" (of course, like the Dead, the word "Gratest" is used instead of "Greatest"). (Of course, as is typical of the Dead, the word "Gratest" is used in the title, not "Greatest").Included here are numerous classic/hit songs such as "Truckin'", "Touch of Grey", and "Friend of the Devil" that continue to captivate people around the world for generations to come. The album also includes a selection of their other timeless classics such as "WORKINGMAN'S DEAD", "AMERICAN BEAUTY", "FROM THE MARS HOTEL", "SHAKEDOWN STREET", "TERRAPIN STATION" and "IN THE DARK", which have been loved for many years among their works. The album contains nine of the best studio recordings selected from such timeless classics as "FROM THE MARS HOTEL", "SHAKEDOWN STREET", "TERRAPIN STATION", and "IN THE DARK".
