In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ella Fitzgerald's birth, we are proud to present the first live recording Ella ever made for Verve! This previously unreleased recording features Ella performing two sets at Zardi's, a jazz club in Hollywood, on February 2, 1956. Five days later, on February 7, Ella began recording her debut album for Verve, "Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Cole Porter Song Book".
