Description:
The Mothers of Invention's legendary concert at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood on July 23, 1968, is now available in its entirety on this must-hear live album. The album features 32 tracks of mostly unreleased material! Although a few takes were used in "Uncle Meat" (1969), "Meet Light" (2004), and "ZAPPA (Original Soundtrack)" (2009), the majority of the tracks on this album are completely unreleased and treasured material. The live show was newly mixed from the original multitrack tapes by Craig Parker Adams (Winslow Connecticut Studios) and mastered by John Polito (Audio Mechanics). Bonus tracks include "The Whip" and a "vintage mix" of "Hungry Freaks, Daddy," which Zappa himself would have made with an official release in mind.
