This is a collection of works by leading contemporary Hungarian composer László Šári (1940-), based on poems by famous poets. The composer, who states that he has "always been interested in the world of the sacred," has included a major work, "Huperion's Song of Destiny" (over 20 minutes long, written for 24 stringed instruments), inspired by the poetry of Helderlin, as well as works based on the poetry of Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez and Hungarian poet The composition is based on the poems of Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez and Hungarian poet Veresh Sándor, and is composed of works from a wide range of eras.
