Cecile Licado, a renowned pianist from the Philippines, presents a new release from one of the Danacord label's most popular series, "Anthology of American Piano Music". The series is a project that seeks to uncover underrated or forgotten masterpieces of American solo piano music from the 18th to 21st centuries. The theme of this fifth installment is "American Dance. The theme this time is "American Dance," and the program includes works by Charles Theodore Pachelbel, an 18th century American composer and son of Johann Pachelbel, a German composer famous for his "Canon," as well as works by Micah Thomas, a rising star pianist born in 1997 who studied jazz at the Juilliard School and has been attracting much attention in recent years.
