Description:
This is a collection of piano works by Swiss composer Konrad Beck (1901-1989), who was supported by the famous conductor/composer Paul Sacher. Because of his Jewish heritage, he was denied publication of his works during the war, but after 1945, Schott again published his works, and he left behind many works, which can be said to have been a fulfilling musical life at the time. Gabrielle Beck-Lipsch, who plays on this album, is related to the composer by name and is the wife of Beck's son, Hans Jacob Beck. After studying piano in Paris, she did not touch the piano for more than 30 years, and then started playing again in 1996, recording impressionist and contemporary music with the enthusiasm and encouragement of many people. 2015 recording.
