Magic Thread", the first album of Skintone, the self-label established by Susumu Yokota, a genius who passed away early in life, in 1998, has been reissued! A collection of works that interpret the electronica, acoustic, house, and abstract of the same era in Yokota's own unique style. While it contains a variety of music without sticking to any one style, it is a masterpiece that came too soon with its unified aesthetics. Since the album was not distributed worldwide, only 500 copies of the CD were pressed in Japan, and two years later, in 2000, the LP was also pressed in limited quantities. This reissue is on gold vinyl with PMS printed inner sleeve. The CD is one of LO's best collectibles, and is not to be missed. ‘Somewhere in the process of evolution, the spinning and weaving of thread became possible for humankind. How did this come to pass? It can only be that the thread is possessed of magical properties.’ – Yokota, 1998.
