The 50th anniversary of the death of master conductor Otto Klemperer. The complete collection of his recordings in the Warner Classics catalog will be released in two boxes, each with 24bit/192kHz remastering in 2023 from the original master tapes (with some exceptions). The second of these, "Complete Recordings of Operas and Religious Works," will be released. Following the earlier "Complete Recordings of Symphonic and Concerto Works" (95CD), the "Complete Recordings of Opera and Religious Works" (29CD) will form the entire "Otto Klemperer / Warner Classics Remastered Edition". This is the entire catalog to which the great Klemperer's Warner Classics currently holds the rights.Originally recorded for the former EMI Columbia, HMV, Electrola, and Parlophone, this "Complete Recordings of Opera & Religious Works," with the exception of "The Magic Flute" and "The Wandering Dutchman," which have been fully remastered in 2017 at Abbey Road Studios, and The complete works have been newly remastered at 24bit/192kHz at Art & Son Studio in 2023 from the original master tapes or the best available sources, excluding documentary sound, rehearsals, etc., and include religious works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Handel, as well as the The collection includes religious works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Handel, as well as operas by Beethoven, Mozart, and Wagner.
