Drummer Nick Mason is a founding member of Pink Floyd. This CD brings back to life his solo works that showcase not only Floyd, but also the Other Side of Nick Mason! This is the first reissue since the original release of "PROFILES", a collaboration with 10cc guitarist Rick Fenn released in 1985, which also features Dave Gilmour as a guest! Drummer Nick Mason is also a founding member of Pink Floyd. In addition to his activities as a member of Pink Floyd, he has toured with his own band, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, to great acclaim, written his own biography of Pink Floyd, and is also known as a huge car enthusiast, having participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He has also participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has published several books on cars. Nick Mason's previously released solo albums will be reissued on CD and analog LP, and will be included in the 2018 box set "UNATTENDED LUGGAGE," but will be released on CD and analog LP for the first time since their original release. The album will be reissued on CD and vinyl for the first time since its original release. PROFILES" was also a collaboration with 10cc guitarist Rick Fenn, released in 1985.Released under the name "Mason + Fenn," the majority of the songs on this album are instrumental, with a few exceptions such as "Love For A Lie," which features vocals from Maggie Riley and Pink Floyd ally Dave Gilmour, and "Israel," which also features UFO keyboardist Danny Peyronelle. UFO keyboardist Danny Peyronelle also sings on "Israel. Mel Collins, an indispensable session player in the British Rock scene and a member of King Crimson, plays saxophone. All sound sources have been remastered in 2018 for the box set release. Of his own solo work, Nick Mason says: "These works occupy an important place in my musical life. PROFILES and WHITE OF THE EYE are an extension of my work with Rick Fenn, including music for advertising and soundtracks for short documentaries and films."
