The Pat Metheny Group has evolved with a sound that has changed dramatically since their previous album, including the introduction of hammering and R&B elements. Now, an album featuring their 1996 performance in Santiago is available! This album was recorded at a concert in Santiago, Chile in April 1996. In addition to the four PMG stalwarts of the time (Metheny, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, and Paul Wertico), the group includes Mark Redford, who also participated in "We Live Here," on vocals, and Armando Marsal, who plays multiple instruments.It is also a valuable live archive in that it features "Night Turns Into Day," which was first recorded on the live album "Trio 99 → 00" released in 2000.
