Wishbone Ash's 1980 official live album is now available in Japan! Wishbone Ash was one of the leading bands in the British rock scene in the 70's with their outstanding performance technique with twin lead guitars, melodic melodies and vocals. The band celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019 and released "Coat Of Arms" the following year, and continues to be active. The official live recording of Wishbone Ash's 1980 show, "Live in UK 1980 (original title: PORTSMOUTH 1980)" will be released one week in advance exclusively in Japan! This album is released on Snapper Music's Madfish label and features a live performance in Portsmouth in southern Hampshire, England on February 15, the month after the album's release, as part of the tour accompanying their 11th album "Just Testing" released in January 1980.The band performed four songs from the new album, as well as classic Wishbone Ash songs such as "Phoenix," "Blowin' Free," "King Will Come," and a cover of Chuck Berry's "Two Match Monkey Business" to close the concert. The band's distinctive technical and dramatic sound is mixed with new songs with pop melodies, and each song is accompanied by an instrumental part that is sure to make you groan.
