The world's first physical release of the mixtape "Uncut Gems" released in 2022 by the hot Parisian modern jazz/hip-hop band, Underground Canopy! Underground Canopy is a 6-piece modern jazz/hip-hop band based in Paris, France. Formed in 2016, the band began by doing covers of Madlib, J. Dilla, Flying Lotus, etc. In 2020, the Paris and Tokyo-based label MENACE released their first EP "Bluestaeb & S. Fidelitypresent Underground In July 2022, they released "Sequences" and in November of the same year, they continued their momentum with their first mixtape "Uncut Gems", now available for the first time in the world in physical form on CD and LP! As the title suggests, this work is like a diamond in the rough, unearthed from their repeated studio sessions over the course of a year.With its hip-hop inspired groove and urban sophistication, this is a must for lovers of Bad Bad Not Good and Butcher Brown!
