Description:
The Aerovonnes, a band of Beatles-obsessed teenagers from St. Louis, Missouri, traveled to England to record at Abbey Road. The Aerovonnes recorded two excellent singles for Parlophone in the U.K., but due to the group's personnel problems, Parlophone was unable to promote the album and cancelled its release after a test pressing, and the material remained dormant until it was discovered and released in 2003. The unreleased "Resurrection" album was hailed as one of the pioneers of 70's power pop, and their Beatles-influenced sound was no less impressive than that of the Nazz or the Raspberries. This definitive 2-CD set includes the 1969 album, various demos and alternative versions from the same period including 11 previously unreleased songs, Tom Hartman's solo single from 1971, and subsequent home studio recordings.
