Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Setouchi-based piano trio Alter Ego, which has captivated many listeners with its lyrical melodies, has carefully selected the best ballads it has produced over its 10-year history and released them as its first best-of LP.
This album was remastered at Alchemy Studio, an essential part of Alter Ego's music. The album includes (2) "The Thing of Having Met That One Friend," which describes the feelings of an important encounter, (3) "Where Will We Go?", a jazz waltz that depicts feelings at a crossroads in life, (4) "The Wind Blowing on Penelope," which expresses the flow of people involved in the cafe "Penelope," the origin of Pf. Jin-ichi Ogata, and (5) "The Wind in Penelope," which is a song about the wind that blows through the cafe. The album contains a total of 11 pieces, including (10) "The End Opens New Possibilities," which was composed at a time when Jin-ichi Ogata came to the conclusion that parting with loved ones is also a moment when a new door opens. The music, nurtured with the accumulation of time, will gently accompany your heart and leave a deep aftertaste.
