Description:
A confluence of different types of East-West grind! A new split album with completely new songs and new recordings! KANDARIVAS is a real Japanese experimental tribal grind band based in Kanda, Tokyo. After several member changes, they have released two EPs and several splits. Kyosuke (Ds: ABORTMASTICATION/NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEDEAD THINK/RETORTION TERROR) will join the band in 2021. In 2022, full-time vocalist Kneeya (ovEnola) joined the band, forming a new four-member lineup. Kobe's SWARRRM is known for always presenting new directions and values based on grind, and for releasing a large number of split albums with a variety of bands.The most recent albums, "Koware Hajimete" and "Yume wo Mitano," have received much praise for their fusion of grind and Japanese lyrics/Japanese rock melodies, which has been prominent in recent years, and have gone as far as they have gone. This split album includes a new album, "KAND", which was released in 2022. KANDARIVAS contributed 5 songs and SWARRRM contributed 2 songs to the split, which was the first release by KANDARIVAS as a 4-piece band. SWARRRRM maintains the lyricism of tremolo riffs and sharp blast beats that have been prominent in their recent works, and their style of interplay with meaty songs, while also creating a melancholy atmosphere with a different chordal feel. Both tracks feature the participation of renowned grind guitarist Takafumi Matsubara (BIRTH AND LOSS/GRIDLINK).
