The Beatles’ 60th Anniversary of Their Visit to Japan This year marks the 60th anniversary of The Beatles’ visit to Japan, during which they performed at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo from June 30 to July 2, 1966, and took the nation by storm. To commemorate this milestone, *Please Please Me*—originally released in 1966 as a commemorative album for their visit—and *With the Beatles*, which were released in 1966 as commemorative albums for their visit, will be reissued as SHM-CDs and LPs featuring paper sleeves that reproduce the original artwork. These are Japanese compilation LPs originally released in 1966 to commemorate their visit to Japan. Based on *Please Please Me*, they feature stereo versions of songs that had previously only been available in mono in Japan.
