Description:
The saxophonist currently attracting the most attention on the Japanese jazz scene, who performed the saxophone parts for the protagonist, Dai Miyamoto, in the animated film *BLUEGINAT*. This is his major-label debut album, co-produced by BIGYUKI. This long-awaited major-label debut album (his third overall) was recorded as a trio featuring saxophone, keyboard, and drums, with BIGYUKI serving as co-producer. All tracks are original compositions written specifically for this project, and the album is notable for the overall sound created by the chemistry between Miyamoto and BIGYUKI. Of course, it also brims with the charm of Miyamoto’s saxophone playing, which has shown remarkable growth following his participation in “BLUEGIANT.” Joining Baba and BIGYUKI as a key member of the trio is JK Kim, a Korean drummer based in New York, just like BIGYUKI. Additionally, ermhoi, Yusuke Sase, and Kei Kogane-maru make guest appearances on select tracks. (C)RS
