Description:
Debussy died in 1918 at the age of 55. In December 1920, two years after his untimely death, La Revue musicale, a new music magazine launched in Paris in the same year, published a special issue dedicated to Debussy's memory. Nine composers who were influenced by Debussy each contributed a work, which reflected Debussy's aesthetics but also strongly expressed their own individual styles, making this collection a symbol of the Parisian music scene at that time. This album was recorded to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the compilation of Debussy's Tombow. It is a complete collection of works previously known only in fragments, along with three works dedicated to "Debussy's memories" that are not included in the book, evoking the Paris of 100 years ago.
