Description:
Australian-born composer Grainger, who developed his talent as a pianist in his teens, first became interested in "folk music" when he traveled to Norway in the summer of 1907 and met Grieg. With a wax phonograph, which had just been invented at the time, Grainger traveled around England collecting folk songs from all over the country and actively incorporated them into his own compositions, creating a series of familiar pieces. He also created many works for brass band. He also left many works for brass band, including works based on Irish and English folk songs and "Lincolnshire Bouquet," which was commissioned after his emigration to the United States, and which continues to be a favorite among brass band fans to this day.In the first collection, you can hear well-known pieces such as "Molly on the Beach" and "Country Garden," as well as interesting arrangements of works by J.S.
