Released in 1980, "The Fado in Me" was the first album for which Amalia Rodriguez (1920-99) wrote all the lyrics. Of course, she had written lyrics before, but this was the first time she composed an entire album with her own lyrics. This special album is now available in a new 2-CD special edition (released in 2024 in Japan) that includes many previously unreleased recordings. (C)RS
