Emelianichev & SCO's Second Schubert Concerto Features "Unfinished"! The Scottish Chamber Orchestra and its principal conductor, Maxim Emelianichev, celebrate their 50th anniversary this year (2024). Following the success of their previous album "Great," which was highly acclaimed around the world, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and its chief conductor, Maxim Emelianichev, will release an album featuring two popular pieces, "Unfinished" and No. 5. The "Great" (September 5, 2024) with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra was a great success, and like its impressive tempo, the two pieces on this album are also fast. However, the performance is very smooth without any clumpiness in the expression, and it avoids emphasizing dramatics more than necessary, resulting in a very beautiful performance in which Schubert's unique songs naturally emerge.
