From lyrical salon-style pieces such as Elegy and Sicilienne to Sonatas No. 1 and No. 2, composed in his later years, with their unique harmonic structure, you can enjoy Fauré's melodic beauty to the fullest. Cellist Robin Michael was born in 1976. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and performed the British premiere of Reich's "Cello Counterpoint," and has frequently performed with chamber orchestras of the old music type.
