Around the World in 80 Minutes The Yehudi Menuhin School of Music is a prestigious British boarding school founded in 1963 by the world-renowned violinist Yehudi Menuhin. Students between the ages of 8 and 18 years old, who have passed a selection examination, are trained in classical music performance techniques as well as in regular academic studies. The album is the result of a three-year collaboration between Orchid Classics and the school, and features a wide variety of European, Asian, Australian, African, and American works performed by exceptionally talented students aged 12 to 18. The instruments they play vary from piano, violin, guitar, harp, and more. Among the players are violinist Shin Tomita, who has received high acclaim during her performances in Japan, her sister Yume Tomita, as well as guitarist Kotone Ozaki.
