The Camerata Tchaikovsky, a chamber orchestra founded in London by Russian-born Yuri Gislin, presents a collection of Romantic works that flourished in Russia during the 19th and 20th centuries. Gislin not only performs but also arranges all of the works, with the exception of the Allensky, to create a unique sound. The main work is Glazunov's "Concerto for Alto Saxophone" arranged for viola and string orchestra, followed by Arensky's tribute to Tchaikovsky and beautiful melodies by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff. This is the first analog release by ORCHID CLASSICS. Naxos Japan
