Composer and pianist Anton Batagov, born in Moscow in 1965, is an iconic figure in contemporary Russian music, known for his unique activities. This album is a tribute to the world of poetry by women from different eras, with nine works in English and seven in Russian, including 16th, 17th, and 19th century English poems, 19th-21st century American poems, and poems from 23rd century B.C. Sumerian, 9th century Byzantine Empire, 13th century Flemish, and 16th century Indian poetry translated into English. At the end of the album, a song by Batagov about his thoughts on women is placed at the end of the album. The common theme running through the poems by women from all walks of life, from poets, writers, and people's activists to ancient queens, is love.
