Tartini was a violinist, music theorist, and composer of Italian genius. Although Tartini left many masterpieces in his youth that made full use of his superb technique, in his later years, he made use of his unparalleled sense of melody and devoted himself to plaintive and exquisite music with a unique sense of harmony, which may have something in common with Liszt, the "piano nobleman" of later years. The fact that the long-established Ricercar label has faced this great composer squarely is a happy new event in the ancient music scene. This collection of 12 sonatas, published by the Amsterdam publisher who first published Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" in 1734, is a rich collection that vividly conveys Tartini's skill and mastery. On the other hand, the two "Tasso Sonatas" secretly written in Padua, where Tartini was active in his later years, are also intriguing masterpieces with a suggestive program tied to "Jerusalem Liberated" by Tasso, the great 16th century poet famous in the history of Italian literature.The team that quietly unravels mysteries and rumors is the brilliant Sviridov (a virtuoso who can even play Paganini!), who showed overwhelming superiority at the Bruges International Old Music Competition last year. ), who showed overwhelming superiority in the Brugge International Old Music Competition last year.
