Recital album by Matthias Kurer, one of Denmark's best clarinetists. After winning the Carl Nielsen Competition, he became principal clarinetist of the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and then soloist. The album includes Schumann's melancholy "Three Romances" and Berg's tightly composed pieces that make the most of the clarinet's versatile tone.
