The selection of songs is the essence of an oldies record, and the audience can enjoy the "feel of the times" from a continental perspective, with a focus on America, the U.K., and even beyond national borders. It is truly a "heretical world history" from the perspective of music. What was 1952 like? The world was enjoying the Helsinki Olympics, and the first hydrogen bomb test on Eniwetok Atoll cast a shadow over the year.Although not released in Japan that year, a rush of masterpieces followed, including "Singin' in the Rain," "Forbidden Games," "Duel at Noon," and "Limelight.
