A new unit of elite musicians led by Yoshio Suzuki, one of Japan's leading bassists, has started! He has played with various famous groups in Japan and abroad, including Sadao Watanabe and Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, and has also played with his own popular band, "East Bounce" Bass Talk," playing original compositions that have always fascinated his fans. Yoshio Suzuki, a.k.a. Chin, is one of Japan's leading bassists and composers. This time, five veterans and mid-career musicians at the forefront of J-jazz, including Atsusuke Mine (sax), Keisuke Nakamura (tp), Hakuei Kim (p), and Tamaya Honda (ds), have launched a unit that develops hot, intense, and beautiful jazz full of spirit and vitality. The name of the group is "The Blend. Mine and Nakamura's outstanding two-wind front line produces a variety of original compositions such as "Morning Glory" with sharp and bold sounds, while Hakuei's piano adds an intellectual and calm tone, and Honda's drums inspire all the members intensely and gently. Yoshio Suzuki, a solid bassist and stable leader, takes all these elements and leads them in a clear direction.This live performance at the Shinjuku "Pit Inn" was a conglomeration of the fruits of each artist's musical life, and one could sense the underlying power of J-jazz.
