Description:
Hiroshi Yamazaki, who has worked with Masayuki Takayanagi, Kaoru Abe, Masaaki Kikuchi, and others since the 1950s and 1960s, and whose unique drum sound, from standard jazz to free form, continues to attract listeners, is currently focusing most on his unit, TRYANGLE. The unit is an amorphous unit that combines Yamazaki's drums and percussion with his friend Nobuyoshi Ino's bass, and welcomes a variety of guests for each live performance. In the past, TRYANGLE has welcomed such unique guests as Takayuki Kato (g), Masayo Hiketsu (sax), Sachi Hayasaka (sax), Yoshihide Otomo (g), Qi Matsumaru (sax), etc. This album is a multi-recording of a live performance at Shibuya Park Avenue Classics on March 4, 2010, with Eiichi Hayashi as a guest. The dynamic and delicate sound of Yamazaki's percussion makes it impossible to miss even a second of the performance, and the organic intertwining of the three is also worthy of special mention.
