The day has finally come (tearfully) to publish the collection of Surin Park Siri's work, a treasured story that has been waiting for its time to come in EM + Soi48's series, which will be in its fifth year in 2019! Mr. Surin is an inventive producer from Issan, Northeastern Thailand, who has often produced cutting-edge (perverted) killers that have become the banner of Thai pop music producers, and a great man who has single-handedly developed Thai music. He is a genuine record man who wants to do something different rather than sell records, and he is also a living music library who has seen Thai music flourish with a solid critical eye. This time, we have selected 12 songs from the many luk tung compositions that Mr. Surin has created, a jumble of unrestrained songs that assert the true "Surin-ness" of the music. The result is a collection of songs that range from a "royal road" Luk Thung, featuring major Lao singers such as Phraeng Promdaeng and Waipot Phetpasun. The result is a collection of songs ranging from a Lao hymn "This is the royal road to Luk Thung", a ganja tune by Kawao Siangthorn sampled in Juu's "New Luk Thung" and an original version of a cover song, covers of Bollywood and Japanese folk songs, a weird and exotic Indian Luk Thung, a Thai funk prototype with our friend Samai Ongwong, and a super funk prototype with our friend Samai Ongwong. The album is a comprehensive catalog of luuktuns, including Thai funk prototypes with his ally Samai Ornwong, and ultra-DOPE rae and lamwong. You can experience all of Surin's charms, which have been repeatedly conveyed in the "Trip To Isan" book and talks, here at one place! Again, all the translations are included. The commentary and binding are of course by Soi48.
