Description:
WEITBLICK's supreme chamber music series, Ida Haendel Stockholm Recital, December 9, 1984, a high quality stereo recording provided by the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation! This is another stunning release of the famous female violinist Ida Haendel's Stockholm recital. This is a good stereo recording. Ida Handel has a deep connection with Stockholm, having visited the city frequently and given many famous performances. Beethoven's Sonata No. 7 is a welcome release as the Sprafone recording was in mono. The performance is full of confidence and a comfortable pace. The sincere soulful cry of the "Chaconne" cannot be heard without tears. Swedish composer Otto Olsson (1879-1964) was also an organist. His style is extremely late Romantic-influenced. Handel also plays quite euphorically, and he receives a lot of applause only from local composers. The introduction and Rondo Capriccioso were also played with passion and gushing fresh blood. The three encores, which he introduces in a sexy voice, are also full of charm. The accompanist is Craig Shepherd (1947-), who has recently been visiting Japan, and his solo albums (many of them released by ROMEO RECORDS) are also highly acclaimed.
