It was also certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the first time in history that a song with Japanese lyrics has been certified gold. Three years after the worldwide sensation, it is clear that the two artists are teaming up again. The original story of "Chainsaw Man" by manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto has sold more than 30 million copies and is currently serialized in the popular "Shonen Jump+" magazine (Shueisha). In 2022, a TV animation by the animation production studio MAPPA ("Jutsu Kaisen", "Shinkage no Kyojin The Final Season", etc.) will be broadcasted, winning high acclaim not only in Japan but also around the world. It has been distributed in more than 200 countries and regions to date. This time, the story that leads up to the final episode of the TV anime, "Episode "Rezhe-hen,"" which is very popular among fans, has been made into a movie. The story of the main character, Denji, who is tossed around by a girl he meets by chance, Reze, as he moves toward an unpredictable destiny, is depicted with the fast-paced battle action that only MAPPA Animation can deliver.
