Seiji Ozawa Memorial Project First BD release series Seiji Ozawa, one of Japan's leading world-class conductors, passed away on February 6, 2024 at the age of 88. As a memorial disc for Ozawa, we are releasing the first Blu-ray Disc release of the video works he left to Sony Classical. This is the second in the "Marsalis on Music" series of educational programs produced with Wynton Marsalis. Marsalis is, needless to say, not only one of the greatest jazz musicians of our time, but also a highly acclaimed classical musician. This series, made possible by Marsalis' own jazz band and the cooperation of Tanglewood students led by Seiji Ozawa, presents music in a fresh way never before seen. Combining Marsalis' inspirational guide with stunning performances and exciting visuals, this series will not only teach you the fundamentals of music, it will also make learning music a pleasure." Yo-Yo Ma is also a special guest on "Challenge the Monster."
