Japan exclusive project★2023 Latest Remaster/SA-CD Hybrid DiscThe greatest cellist of our time, Yo-Yo Ma has recorded Bach: Unaccompanied three times, which is said to be the Old Testament for cellists. This is the first recording made by Yo-Yo Ma in his mid-twenties, and is an anniversary project commemorating the 40th anniversary of its first release in 1983. It will be released on hybrid disc only in Japan (analog only overseas). New liner notes by producer Richard Einhorn are also included. Richard Einhorn also worked on Gould's Goldberg Variations (1981). Yo-Yo said in an interview that this piece was so important to him that his father, who was a musician, taught him to play two bars of it every day from the age of four, and he still plays it every morning.
