Elvin Bishop, a guitarist who was a founding member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band from the mid-1960s and played on many classic records, formed a band after leaving the band in 1968 and reissued the second and hidden masterpiece "Feel It! (1970)" is re-released! This psychedelic soul and blues album features powerful female vocals from Joe Baker on main and the Pointer Sisters as guests. The album features originals as well as covers by Wilson Pickett, Sunny Boy II, Fenton Robinson, and others. Elvin Bishop was born in California in 1942 and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While attending the University of Chicago, he joined the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and played in some of their early classic records. 1968, after leaving the band, he moved to San Francisco and joined Mike Bloomfield and Al Cooper's "Miracle at the Fillmore". After releasing two albums on the Fillmore label under the name The Elvin Bishop Group, he moved to Capricorn and released the classic solo album "Let It Flow" in 1974.He released a string of classic albums, including "Struttin' My Stuff" in 1975 and the live album "Raisin' Hell" in 1977. In 2005, "Getting' My Groove Back" reached #9 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart, and in 2008, "Blues Rolls On" from Delta Groove was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Blues Rolls On" on Delta Groove. In recent years, he has continued to release numerous collaborations with a variety of artists, from Alligator to Charlie Musselwhite.
