The Richter family has released for the first time the unsealed and never-before-published sound source! Carl Richter's "Werlec", highly praised by the great German critic Carl Schumann, was first released in stereo by the Munich Bach Choir! And the splendid singers are also amazing! This amazing recording was provided by Richter's son, Tobias Richter, General Director of the Rhein Deutsche Oper, and was recorded for public broadcasting, including radio. The recording was made by the Munich Bach Choir, not for radio or other public broadcasts, and has been in the Richter family for a long time. It has never been released and is "a source of exceptional value" (according to journalist Takayoshi Kidokoro). The performance is sublime and tense, as only Richter at the peak of his career could give. Professor Karl Schumann praised the performance in the "South German Newspaper" at the time, saying, "Richter rightly brings out the dark side of Verdi's mysticism, and the performance is solemn and free from any arbitrary expression. ［Comment courtesy of King International.]
