Buffalo Springfield broke up after only two years. This is a collection of rare live recordings of their almost nonexistent official releases! Buffalo Springfield was the band that shaped the early careers of star-class artists such as Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, Neil Young, and Jim Messina. From a Japanese perspective, the band is also the roots of Happi Nippon. However, as is the fate of any band without a leader, there were many conflicts between the members, especially between Stills and Young, and as a result, Young repeatedly left and returned to the band several times. In the end, the band's activities came to an end after a net period of just over two years, but the subsequent activities of each member, including those of the other members, had a major impact on later generations. In fact, Buffalo is a live band and has played quite a number of shows during its short activity, but there seem to be almost no soundboard recordings, and few live recordings have been officially released. In that sense, it is very valuable to have such a large number of live recordings in one place, even though they are a collection of different bands.Neil Young, for example, was not satisfied with the Buffalo studio recordings and said that the band should have recorded live, and it is in the live performances that the band's true nature is revealed. The tracks on this CD are from five shows between 1967 and 1968: Monterey Pop Festival on June 18, 1967; California, Teen and Twenty Club on August 12 (or 11), 1967; and Dallas, Market Hall on April 20, 1968. As mentioned above, Neil Young may or may not be present, but it is interesting to note that the tension of the performance is completely different with his presence. Some of the sound quality is a bit poor, but it is still a must-listen.
