Description:
This is the long-awaited solo debut album by Rie Nemoto, a popular violinist who has supported artists in a variety of genres. The theme of the album is the story of her child's memory in her womb, and she spins a fantastic journey of sound with graceful violin and acoustic sounds. Includes a newly written picture book by illustrator Akira Kusaka. Rie Nemoto's debut solo album was born from a story her own child told her from her in utero memories, "The Fun Adventure with Little Lamplight," and she has worked as a violinist for a wide range of artists from classical to pop music, including majiko and Miwa Sasagawa, and especially for haruka nakamura. She has played the violin part in many of haruka nakamura's works and live performances. In this album, she sublimates her high violin performance technique backed by her classical background, as well as her ability as a multi-instrumentalist who also plays piano and percussion herself, and her expressive arrangements. It's about your mother's belly," she says. There were lots of little lights and lines that looked like they were drawn with a pencil, and it was exciting. I decided which direction to go." The story opens with "KIRO" (Crossroads), an unaccompanied violin piece composed with the image of the protagonist beginning his adventure. The dignified violin melody can be heard to contain her statement as a violinist. The story progresses as the adventures of the main character and her little light boy. The delicate and graceful violin melody is colored by piano and percussion, creating a dreamy journey of sound that is sometimes nostalgic and sometimes exciting. Guest artists haruka nakamura (sound design, guitar), Isao Saito (percussion), Seigen Tokuzawa (cello), and Gen Tanabe (electric guitar) add rich colors to the album. Gen Tanabe (Studio Camel House) also handled the recording, mixing, and mastering. A newly written picture book by illustrator Akira Kusaka is included. The world of the fantastic story is delicately expressed in response to Nemoto's beautiful and dreamy sound.
