Its cinematic quality and deeply moving story garnered widespread acclaim, leading to a remake offer from South Korea and a Galaxy Award (47th Television Category Special Prize), among other significant achievements. The long-awaited second season of the legendary drama "Midnight Diner" will air on TBS and MBS starting in October 2011! The new series retains the core staff and cast from the previous season, and further features Seitaro Kobayashi (director of "Everyday Mom") as director, along with Haruhiko Arai—who has crafted numerous masterpieces that have left their mark on Japanese film history, such as "W: A Tragedy" and "Detective Story"—as screenwriter.
