Parlor Greens, a vintage soul band comprised of members of the Delvon Lamar Organ Trio, GA-20, and the Scone Cash Players. The most exciting and anticipated project in the world of heavy instrumental music releases its debut album "In Green We Dream" on Coalmine Records. Perhaps one of the most exciting and anticipated projects in the world of heavy instrumental music is the fresh organ trio, Parlor Greens, on Colemine Records. You might say that they are more than the sum of their parts. However, the individual parts alone are simply amazing: Tim Carman on drums (GA-20), Jimmy James on guitar (True Loves [Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio]), and Adam Scone on organ (Scone Cash Players, The Sugarman 3). But the individual parts alone are simply wonderful.They proudly present their debut album, "In Green We Dream," a collection of 11 songs, 10 originals, in A-side/B-side format, with no throw-away tracks. Recorded on their trusty old Tascam 388 tape machine and mixed in a cool and dirty way, Parlor Greens was already an idea before the band even had a name, Tim Carman with Colemine Records boss Terry Cole, Tim Carman had been talking with Cole about their shared love of yesterday's organ combo records, which had been released on labels such as Blue Note and Prestige, Cole said he would love to do an organ trio as the first project for the label's new studio, Portage Lounge, in Loveland, Ohio. So when Carman recruited Jimmy James and Adam Scone for a session, the stage was set.And soon chemistry was born. Within the first 10 minutes of everyone plugging in, the song "West Memphis" was written and recorded. Over the next three days, these three maestros put their beautiful, soulful symphony straight to tape. It was a spontaneous and joyous affair, as if the three old friends were getting together for the first time in a long time. It was truly magic.
