Description:
Mari Asai, a violinist who weaves stories with music, created this musical story as music for a solo exhibition of the painter Sui Yumeshima held in June 2021. As a single work of art based on the theme of the exhibition, it was created as a suite of six pieces of music. The music was composed like a painting with colors from a palette, giving meaning to all the sounds and phrases. While taking "Vanitas" and the "Dance of Death" (an art form that emerged around the 14th century with the outbreak of the plague) as themes, the music expresses the strength of life and the hope of overcoming the threat of the Corona period.
