Description:
Helsinki Lambda Club frontman Kaoru Hashimoto makes his solo debut! He will release his first EP "Diary", which describes the scenery of his heart in sound! Kaoru Hashimoto, frontman of the new alternative rock band Helsinki Lambda Club, who has been active both in Japan and abroad, will release his EP "Diary". Hashimoto herself realized that her interests and inner life are more multi-layered than she had expected, and decided to take on the challenge of a solo work in order to organize her existence and bring out her individuality through output that suits each aspect of her being. The producer of this album is Keigo Tatsumi of never young beach, and each of the five songs has a different expression. Inspired by the album "Heaven is a Junkyard" by Youth Lagoon, which was one of the reasons why Hashimoto decided to create a solo album, he started to create this album. M2 "Waiting for You," originally composed more than four years ago, has a chill, lo-fi vibe reminiscent of Mac Demarco and Michael Seyer, but with overlapping synth phrases that give it a 90's nostalgic feel. M3 "I want to eat fruit" captures a page from everyday life, where sometimes you are alone and other days you are with friends.Inspired by the Setagaya area of Tokyo, M4 "Setagaya" is an instrumental piece inspired by Mac DeMarco's "Five Easy Hot Dogs," and while inheriting the mindset of travel and lifestyle, it depicts a more personal and quiet horizon and incorporates soft, clear air and signs of nature into its sound. The album also includes M5 "Myogadani," an ode to a small everyday life that can be enjoyed while taking a walk or doing housework, and is set in Myogadani, Tokyo, a place Hashimoto once lived and still calls "a place of peace and tranquility. Comment from Kaoru Hashimoto Hello. I have decided to once again pursue my musical activities under my real name, Kaoru Hashimoto. Although I had been playing and occasionally making independent recordings for a few years now, I would like to continue to perform under this name as part of my life's work. There have always been so many things that I wanted to do, but they never took shape because there were too many things I wanted to do, but I gradually began to see what I wanted to express as Kaoru Hashimoto and who I wanted to be involved with, and I felt that I wanted to pursue these activities first of all. I wanted to express as much as possible a life-size perspective, a viewpoint or feeling rooted in daily life, or a record of my daily life, so I created a five-song piece called "Diary. The first of these songs, "Myogadani," is the first to be released. It is a piece of work that confines the land where I spent my time and my daily life. I would be happy if you could listen to it while taking a walk, doing housework, or anywhere else in your life. Kaoru Hashimoto
