Dina Ugorskaya's Schumann album couples three late works, including the "Ghost Variations" (variously titled "Variations on an Angelic Theme," "Ghost Variations," and "Variations on an Apparition"), which Schumann wrote in his final years when he was suffering from hallucinations and auditory hallucinations, and his early masterpiece "Kreisleriana The coupling of the three works is a masterpiece of the early period.
