The second complete collection of piano works by Sabaneyev, an unknown composer from Russia! This is the second collection of the complete piano works of Leonid Sabaneyev. Leonid Sabaneyev (1881-1968) was born in Moscow, but spent the latter half of his life in France as a composer and music critic. As a young man, he was close to Scriabin in his later years, and his book "Scriabin: The Untold Story of His Creation Revealed in His Later Years" has been translated in Japan. His music has some Scriabin-like elements, but it is not mystical music like Scriabin's. It is monotone, dark, but with a strong will. The music is not mystical like Scriabin's, but rather monotone, dark, but strong-willed. Michael Schaeffer is a German pianist and composer born in 1963. As a composer, he has actively taken up Sabaneyev's nearly buried works and has been a central figure in their rediscovery.
