DEAD BANDIT is the duo project of Chicago-based songwriter ELLIS SWAN and Canadian multi-instrumentalist JAMES SCHIMPL.The two say they were influenced by various works of legendary industrial acid-punk CHROME and MARK SANDMAN (MORPHINE) from NEIL YOUNG's soundtrack DEAD MAN. The first part of the album is a Southern Gothic feeling, and the second part is a LO-FI, D.I.Y., slow-core, experimental, original, and varied 11 tracks that seem to be a grotesque mixture of WOO, DIRTY THREE, JIM JARMUSCH, TOM WAITS, and many others!
